The Supervisor/Manager Series
The Supervisor/Manager Series, CareerSmart’s first set of certificate programs, is the product of a partnership between Human Resource Services (HRS) and the Professional Development Center (PDC) in Continuing and Innovative Education (CIE). Geared toward the needs of UT Austin employees, it is comprised of three stand-alone certificate programs. The university wants to help promising employees prepare themselves to become new managers and to help existing managers improve their current skills and add new ones.
- The first certificate program, Transition to Management is designed to help people move from employee to new roles as managers or supervisors.
- The second certificate program is Sharpening Management Skills, which will help managers hone existing competencies and develop new skills.
- Moving from Manager to Executive, the third certificate program of the series, helps those who have mastered managerial competencies move to the next level.
