Diagnostic Assessments
Middle School & High School
An accurate assessment of student knowledge is critical to ensuring student success and preventing English language learners from dropping out of school.
Using the LUCHA™ Diagnostic Assessments, school districts are able to assess the content-area knowledge of secondary English language learners whose primary language is Spanish. LUCHA™ diagnostic assessments are in Spanish and the results help guide schools in placing students in the proper learning environment.
LUCHA™ Offers Two (2) Diagnostic Assessments:
1. Algebra I Readiness
The Algebra I Readiness Diagnostic is an online exam in Spanish. The Diagnostic is designed to help determine if the student has the content-area knowledge necessary to be successful in Algebra I.
The maximum testing time is 2 hours.
2. High School Readiness
The High School Readiness Diagnostic is also an online exam in Spanish. The Diagnostic is designed to help determine if the student has the content-area knowledge necessary to be successful in the following high school level courses:
- Mathematics
- Science
- Earth Science
The maximum testing time is 2 hours.
