:: UT Lamp Excellence Fund

The UT LAMP Executive Committee has established a tax deductible UT LAMP Excellence Fund to be used to enrich the UT LAMP experience for its members. OLLI budget changes in 2012 made monies available to be the nucleus of the Fund.

In line with the purpose of enriching the UT LAMP experience for its members, examples of possible uses of the Fund are equipment, materials, resources, facilities, programs and administrative support beyond those provided by tuition payments from the members. More examples are provided in the Framework listed below.

The Fund exists within the Division of Continuing and Innovative Education structure of The University of Texas, and can receive funds from anyone and can be used for various purposes within the general guidelines established by The University of Texas at Austin. Administration and accounting for the Fund will be provided under the leadership of the Director of the Thompson Conference Center, within which UT LAMP is part of the Osher Lifelong Leadership Institute (OLLI).

A committee consisting of representatives from the UT LAMP Executive Committee, the UT LAMP membership-at-large, the Director of the Thompson Conference Center and the UT LAMP Administrator will provide general oversight of the Fund including review and receipt of gifts, expenditure of funds and the preparation of reports to the membership concerning the uses of the Fund.
