“As many as 71 percent of software projects that fail do so because of poor requirements management, making it the single biggest reason for project failure.” (CIO magazine). On the other hand, professionals like Business Analysts who can gather, assess, and validate requirements and who can communicate well with numerous stakeholders, can drive projects to successful conclusions.

According to the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), the business analyst is the professional who understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
