PMI is now basing its PMP® exam on the new Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®), 4th edition. This program provides participants with practical guidance in how projects are actually managed as well as explaining how these practical processes align with the latest PMBOK. Participants will be able to successfully take the PMP® examination and attain their certification and to put this knowledge to work in managing real projects.

This program is designed specifically for people who want to earn their PMP® Certification. Both alumni of the PDC Project Management Certificate Program and those with previous project management training who want to earn their certification will benefit from this program. Participants are guaranteed to pass the exam on their first attempt (provided students meet certain criteria).

PDC is a globally approved Registered Education Provider (R.E.P) of the Project Management Institute (PMI®).

Certificate Requirements, Scheduling, and Pricing

To achieve the Certificate and earn the 35 educational hours required to sit for the PMP Exam:

  • Participants must attend class Monday-Friday
  • Participants are asked to arrive on time everyday in order to satisfy the required 35 educational hours
  • Course Schedule is Monday-Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • On Friday the class begins at 8:00am Students will review in the morning and take a final course exam in the afternoon. Class will end early on Friday but schedules will vary.

Methodology

During the class, each process is discussed using the following methodology:

  • Introduction to the process, knowledge goals
  • Discussion of the purpose that the process serves in the project life cycle
  • Specific inputs, tools and outputs from the process
  • Practical application for the process (the instructor will use examples relevant to the industries in which the participants manage projects)
  • Chapter quiz
  • Review of “Must Know Concepts” for the process
