Safety and Health Engineering and Environmental Customized Classes and Consulting Services

Services from The Professional Development Center (PDC) at The University of Texas at Austin include resources to respond to your health, safety, and environmental project requirements. Our subject matter experts are knowledgeable about the requirements of various regulatory entities such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

PDC offers customized classes that include an introduction to safety and health, a discussion of key safety and health issues, relevant consensus standards such as the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101 Life Safety Code and the American Petroleum Institute (API) Recommended Practice 54 for Safety and Health for Oil and Gas Well Drilling and Servicing Operations, 3rd Edition, and an intense review, with solutions, of the most frequently cited OSHA and MSHA standards. These classes are appropriate for experienced environmental health and safety professionals as well as those new to the safety supervisor role.
