Business Writing helps you strengthen your writing, and saves you time, energy, and unnecessary work. You can increase your confidence when responding to a complaint letter, delivering unwelcome news, editing someone else’s work, or writing a persuasive document.

In this workshop, you will consider a letter’s tone, format, logic, and clarity. Then you will write and review at least two samples and review e-mail etiquette.

What Should I Bring to Class?

Please bring three business letters or emails, preferably at least one paragraph in length, which you have recently written. You will use these samples of your work to assess your current writing style, apply techniques discussed in class, and develop strategies for improving your writing.
