Selling to Uncle Sam: Your Need-to-Know

Course Details

Do you have a product or service that the government buys? If so, why should they buy from you rather than their present supplier? The Selling to Uncle Sam workshop will provide you with play-by-play marketing strategies to assist you in winning government contracts.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Determine if their business should market to the government
  2. Relate marketing to the government to their products and services
  3. Interpret some government language referencing contracting
  4. Follow guidelines to win RFPs, IFBs, and RFQs

Small Business Success Skills Certificate Program

This class is eligible for the Small Business Success Certificate Program. Participants who complete six classes will receive a framed gold seal Small Business Success Certificate jointly from both The University of Texas at Austin Professional Development Center and City of Austin Small Business Development Program.

Rationale

A point to ponder: the Government buys everything. Not every Government agency or Prime Contractor buys everything. Who buys what you sell?
