Indirect Heaters (DVD)
Catalog No. 65.1169
In a gas production system, hydrates can form anywhere that line pressure or temperature drops and restrict or even stop gas flow. A common solution is to heat the natural gas to a temperature sufficient to prevent hydrate formation, using an indirect flow line heater. This video presentation shows the basic components of indirect heaters and their functions, start-up procedures, daily checks, and maintenance operations. Made in cooperation with Mountain Fuel Supply. An excellent audiovisual introduction for field operating personnel. 1981, 10 minutes, 76 slides, script, workbook.
