Meter proving is the process of determining the accuracy of a meter. In this program, proving will be done by flowing a petroleum product through a meter and into an open tank prover—a tank that, except for a vapor recovery system, is open to the atmosphere. It can accurately measure a quantity of liquid. This video presentation is designed to assist personnel who must perform or witness provings done with open tank provers. It covers recommended procedures for proving meters with open tank provers according to the API Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards published at the time of the program’s release. Sponsored by the API Committee on Petroleum Measurement. 1986, 28 minutes, 122 slides, video transfer of slides. Comes with a script and a workbook.
