Includes the procedures and processes necessary to gauge, test, and run a lease tank in accordance with industry practices. Includes the determination of the base data to allow the calculation of the net standard volume (NSV) associated with a transaction.
Also includes determining the liquid hydrocarbon level and average hydrocarbon temperature; sampling for the determination of density, suspended sediment and water, and free water. Addresses items such as clearance sample determination, safety, and general inspection; also documentation and audit trail requirements and general sealing requirements to isolate a tank. Presents information on the proper sequencing of the performance of the procedures and recommended equipment. Includes a combination of classroom lecture, classroom and field exercises, and equipment demonstrations. Participants receive handouts.
Please note: This course has been designed for on-site training, with the exception of the field exercises, and can be completed in one day.
