This course includes the procedures and processes necessary to gauge, test, and run a lease tank in accordance with industry practices. Includes the determination of the base data to allow the calculation of the net standard volume (NSV) associated with a transaction.

These procedures and processes will include the determination of the liquid hydrocarbon level, average hydrocarbon temperature, sampling for the determination of density, suspended sediment and water, and free water determination. Items such as clearance sample determination, safety, and general inspection will be addressed. Documentation and audit trail requirements, as well as general sealing requirements to isolate a tank, are discussed. The proper sequencing of the performance of the procedures and the recommended equipment are presented. A combination of classroom lecture, classroom and field exercises, and demonstration of equipment is included in the instruction. Participants receive handouts.

Please note: This course has been designed for on-site training, with the exception of the field exercises, and can be completed in one day.
