Pipeline Technology – Week 2: Operations

Covers pipeline design, construction, operations, maintenance, and management. Includes field trips that support classroom discussion. Course may be taken in one-week modules. Participants receive handouts.
Those attending only one week will receive handouts that are appropriate for that course.
Length: 5 days
Participants receive instruction in:
- Product terminals
- Supervisory control systems
- Oil movement in mainland operations
- Meters and measurement
- Power optimization
- Economics of pipeline transportation
- Mainline tanks
- Mainline materials of construction
Engineers new to the pipeline industry or those in special areas who need a broader view of pipeline operations. It can also serve as a refresher course for pipeline engineers.
