Covers surface and subsurface production equipment and operations. Participants may complete the course by attending two split sessions (Week 1–Subsurface and Week 2–Surface Operation and Facilities). Field trips support classroom discussion. Participants receive handouts and the following PETEX books if enrolled in both weeks:
Oil and Gas Production Series (12 books)
Those enrolled for only one week will receive the PETEX manuals that are appropriate for that week.

- Reservoir fundamentals
- Natural drive
- Wellhead equipment
- Artificial lift
- Enhanced recovery
- Offshore production considerations
