Collected crude oil and natural gas are of little use in their raw state. Their value lies in what is created form them—fuels, lubricating oils, waxes, asphalt, and petrochemicals. In this lesson you will learn:

  • Key refining processes of separation, conversion and treating
  • Types of refineries and their processes: topping, hydroskimming, cracking and full conversion

REQUIRED
The Refining and Processing Petroleum module consists of the following:

It should take you approximately 75 to 90 minutes to complete this module.

Requirements
In order to successfully complete this module you will be required to:
  • Go through all the lessons in the module.
  • Complete the practice items.
  • Complete the module quiz with a passing grade of 70%. You will have 2 chances to complete the quiz. If you don’t pass the quiz the first time, you will be able to take it again after 7 days.
  • At the end, you will receive a certificate of completion.
