IADC E-Publication: Asset Integrity – Regulatory Perspectives
International petroleum regulators are increasingly
concerned about the integrity of offshore drilling and production facilities. This book compiles a series of articles written by regulators from the United Kingdom, Norway, the Netherlands and Australia detailing key asset integrity challenges and issues. Included: Review of a 3-year study on UK offshore asset integrity; determining limits on age extension for offshore mobile units; findings from an Australian inspection programme with implications for managing asset integrity; and a concluding discussion of the role that all stakeholders – facility owners, classification societies, oil and gas operators, and service contractors – play, and the challenge of communicating among them.
