The PETEX West Texas Training Center reopened this fall. This standalone PETEX training facility on The University of Texas Permian Basin campus houses classrooms, laboratories, and a full-scale operational lease facility for hands-on training in one large enclosed area.
The West Texas Center will train lease operators and technicians, drilling personnel, and others associated with production operations on some of the most common drilling, measurement, and production process and operations equipment used today.

The Odessa Training Center is located in PETEX’s Production Training Facility on the south campus of The University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB) in Odessa, Texas. To view a map, click here.
• From E. Loop 338, turn West on to University Blvd.
• From University Blvd. head North on Main Blvd.
• From Main Blvd. turn right on South Road (you will see PETEX on a concrete marker pointing to the right).
• Head East on South Road past the Physical Plant to the end of the road.
• The road dead ends into the PETEX parking lot for the training facility.
