President Bill Powers recognizes University Charter School in his Tower Talk blog

2/17/2012

William J. Powers, Jr., president of The University of Texas at Austin, recently acknowledged the good work of the University of Texas-University Charter School in his Tower Talk blog. Powers uses his blog to share campus news with members of the university – current students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends. In his blog post, “University Charter School touches lives across Texas,” he took the time to inform his audience of the great work the Charter School accomplishes each day toward helping students with special needs.

In his blog, Powers stated “There can be no more intensive, critical, and noble work than educating children, especially those who are facing an array challenges most of us will never know.” He also wrote that he is “proud” that “The University of Texas is doing this important work.”

Congratulations to the University of Texas-University Charter School for this wonderful, and well-earned, recognition.
