On October 3 - 7, the Professional Development Center hosts “Tour of Guatemala,” an exciting journey from Austin to Antigua that includes a series of lectures and field trips covering the culture, history and architecture of the region.

On February, 19 – 23, CIE hosted the first of several planned cultural exchange excursions to Antigua, Guatemala. Over 20 guests from Austin took part in lectures and tours based at Casa Herrera, a historic property in the heart of Antigua.

On October 28, 2011, Linda Glessner assumed the role of Executive Director.
