Lady Bird Johnson Auditorium

LBJ Auditorium

The Lady Bird Auditorium is located in the building that houses the LBJ Museum and Library on the UT Austin Campus. The original structure was built in 1965. It is currently the host to the LBJ Lecture series, which has included speakers such as Tom Brokaw and Apollo 8 Astronauts.

After four years of restorations the LBJ Museum and Library concluded the $8.5 million dollar renovation. The LBJ Auditorium overhaul included a new upper lobby, lower lobby, green room, interior and the latest state-of-the-art visual equipment for the auditorium.

The LBJ Auditorium is available from 8am to 10pm. The auditorium seats 967 patrons. It is available to campus, government, and external groups. For information on the LBJ Auditorium, please call (512) 232-2393 and speak to someone about reserving or touring the auditorium.
