Welcome to the University of Texas-University Charter School (UT-UCS), a university public charter school. A second generation charter school, UT-UCS began serving students in School Year 1998-1999. Initially opened as a virtual, on-line school for fifty-four students in seventh through eleventh grade, UT-UCS has transformed into a district that specializes in serving special needs students in unique settings such as psychiatric hospitals and residential treatment centers. UT-UCS currently serves over seven hundred students at fifteen locations in central Texas and the Houston area.

We are a school of choice for students who are unable, for a period of time, to benefit from a traditional school setting. Enjoy your online visit to UT-UCS.
