Disability Information

The University is a large place, so you should be prepared to do some walking to get from your car to your assigned building and room. If you have questions or concerns about accessibility that are not addressed on this page, please call our office at (512) 471-2912 at least 2 weeks before your institute so we may assist you.

Building Accessibility

Accessibility information is available on the UT accessibility map.

Click the area of campus you would like to review and refer to the symbol legend to find the accessible pathways and entrances to your assigned summer institute building. (You can also search by building name and click “Area accessibility.”)

Parking

Persons with disabilities with an appropriately approved state placard or plate may park in any University garage space reserved for persons with disabilities (parking fees do apply). If you want to request to park in one of the surface parking spots on campus reserved for UT D permit holders with disabilities, you must bring your approved state placard to the Parking and Transportation administrative office (1815 Trinity St.). If approved, you will receive a temporary UT D permit hangtag to display along with your state placard. Parking and Transportation will charge $11 for this permit.
