University Extension (UEX) offers a wide range of classroom and online courses from The University of Texas at Austin course inventory. Earn UT Austin credit, network with professors and fellow students, and expand your career options. Admission to UT Austin is not required to take UEX courses.
Advising is available year round for anyone interested in taking advantage of UEX course options.
Looking for business knowledge?
UEX offers the Business Foundations Certificate, which is ideal for working professionals looking to acquire specialized knowledge and credentials to help propel their careers forward.
Designed by UT’s prestigious McCombs School of Business, the Business Foundations Certificate provides a thorough foundation in business concepts and practices through a series of six essential courses in accounting, business law, finance, information technology, marketing, and management.
Thinking about changing careers?
UEX has several options to help you fill prerequisites and become more informed about a new career in the fields of science or health. UEX offers several biology, chemistry, math and statistics courses, both online and in the evening.
UEX semester classroom and online cohort courses begin in mid-January, early June and late August/early September. Classroom courses meet after 5 p.m. on the main UT Austin campus. Online cohort courses follow UT Austin’s semester calendar, but students and instructors interact online.
