Business Foundations Certificate
Overview
The Business Foundations Certificate offered through University Extension is designed to provide a foundation in business concepts and practice for students who plan to enter the workforce or a graduate degree program upon completion of their undergraduate degree. It is also designed for people who already have an undergraduate non-business degree who wish to acquire certification in basic business knowledge. Business Foundations Certificate courses may not be taken by business majors at UT Austin.
The series of classroom courses in the Business Foundation Certificate can be considered the equivalent of a business minor. A non-business degree together with a Business Foundations Certificate should be positively received when applying for an M.B.A. The courses you complete will reflect on an official University of Texas at Austin transcript and University Extension will issue a certificate upon completion; however, confirmation of the earned certificate will not be recorded on your transcript.
