Business Foundations Certificate
Applying for a Certificate
Before you apply for a Business Foundations Certificate, make sure you meet the requirements.
- You must not be on active scholastic or disciplinary dismissal from any institution of higher education.
- You must have completed the following classroom courses with a grade of C or better:
- ECO 304K or ECO 304L (or the direct equivalent)
- Any three-hour statistics course (M 305G, M 303D, or the direct equivalent, will be honored if taken before fall 2008)
- ACC 310F (or both ACC 311 and ACC 312)
- MIS 302F (MIS 311F, both MIS 310 and STA 309, or their direct equivalents, will be honored if taken before fall 2008)
- You must have completed or currently be enrolled in one of the four upper-division Business Foundations courses (320F series).
- Online courses do not count toward certificate.
- Transcript proof of having earned a passing grade in these prerequisites will be required.
To apply for a Certificate, fill out an application form in the office of University Extension at LAC 1.314.
Earning a Certificate
To earn the Business Foundations Certificate, you must complete all six Business Foundations courses as well as two other courses required to earn the certificate: ECO 304K or ECO 304L (or the direct equivalent) and any three-hour statistics course (Math 305G, 303D, or the direct equivalent is acceptable if taken before fall 2008).
