Overview

University Extension offers classroom college courses in the evenings for UT credit. Our primary mission is to fill continuing education needs and educational gaps by making available the outstanding quality of UT Austin teaching and research to the greater Austin community. UT admission is not required to register for our courses. University of Texas students can take University Extension courses, provided they obtain the proper approval. Please note that University Extension provides individuals with the opportunity to earn college credit, but does not grant degrees.

Courses may be taken for professional development, to help with career transitions, to make progress toward a degree, or for pure self-enrichment. University Extension offers courses from many colleges, including:
