Drug-free Classes

University Extension at The University of Texas at Austin complies fully with the Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Act of 1989, which deals with the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of drugs and alcohol by students and employees on University property or as part of any University-sponsored activity. The University makes available to all enrolled students information about standards of conduct regarding alcohol and drugs, applicable legal sanctions under public law, health risks associated with the use of illicit drugs and the abuse of alcohol, drug and alcohol counseling, treatment resources on campus, and the disciplinary sanctions which may be imposed in instances of misconduct involving alcohol and drugs. This information is available from the Office of Human Resources, the Office of Admissions, or the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs.
