American Government Course Offered On Demand

The College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin is offering an online section of American Government (GOV 310L in UT’s catalog) during the spring semester. Recordings of recent lectures will be available “on demand” for students to watch at their convenience.

With open enrollment through University Extension (UEX), YOU can take this course from anywhere that you have an Internet connection. Admission to the university is not required.

Course Features

  • Academic Credit: UEX courses, including this online section of GOV 310L, are open enrollment, provide transferable academic credit, and the grades appear on an official university transcript.
  • Engagement: The course incorporates recently recorded lectures by tenured professors of the university’s Department of Government, Drs. Eric McDaniel and Daron Shaw that you can watch as many times as you need. In addition, you will have access to a wealth of other online resources for reinforcing the material covered and assessing your understanding.
  • Flexibility: You don’t have to come to campus to attend class. Coursework can be done anywhere you have access to the internet, at a time that fits your schedule.
