Overview

The Thompson Conference Center (TCC) offers a diverse selection of personal enrichment courses and programs to deepen understanding of yourself and the world around you.

Opportunities to stay informed and intellectually active are plentiful in TCC's popular personal enrichment programs for older adults, including the Third Age University. The "Third Age" is the period of life in which individuals can focus on "becoming" instead of "preparing" or "doing."

Professional development courses from UT Continuing Education's Professional Development Center are also held within the Thompson Conference Center. UT Continuing Education's University Extension, housed within the Thompson Conference Center, provides UT-quality college credit courses in both classroom and online formats.

TCC also hosts courses in the fine arts and humanities through UT Elderhostel. These short-term residential programs for adults 55 and older allow you to broaden your horizons. Programs are offered through the TCC at The University of Texas at Austin and in other locations throughout Texas such as San Antonio and the Big Bend area.
