April 28, 2007 — The San Jacinto Child Development Center celebrated their Annual Multicultural Festival. The event featured storytelling, costumes, and performances by several of the culturally diverse student groups of our community. The day’s performances included: Capoeira Angola, an African American dance from The Texas Empowerment Academy Dance Company, Grupo Flor y Canto, and a Russian, Italian, and Scottish dance.

Sandy Briley, director of the Child Development Center, says, “The Multicultural Festival is always a great opportunity to celebrate the diversity we enjoy here as part of The University of Texas at Austin community, and this year’s event was a lot of fun for everyone.”
