Volunteer for Work Day

Saturday, November 3, 9 - 12 noon

Wonder who painted some of the structures on the playground this year? Installed the retaining wall made of tires? Moved the water play area? Helped install the gardens? “Fluffed” the grounds to keep it soft for little feet? Volunteers. That means parents like you! Come join the Playground Committee for brief maintenance workdays that keep both you and your child smiling. It’s fun, fast and will make you feel great about being a member of the parent volunteer community.

Our first work day will be Saturday, November 3, 9-12 noon. We will focus on installing ceramic tiles painted by the children, painting a common room and fluffing the playground. Please join us! We will provide the goodies, and parents just need to bring themselves and, if they can, a rake, spade or other gardening tool to assist with the fluffing.

We will be having another workday in the early spring, so we look forward to seeing as many parents as possible.

Please contact Steve Rosen at srosen@utsystem.edu or 512-656-7481 to sign up or to join the Committee for future playground planning.
