Patrick Watson is named interim assistant director for the Thompson Conference Center
Patrick Watson has been named interim assistant director of the Thompson Conference Center (TCC), a component of Continuing & Innovative Education (CIE) at The University of Texas at Austin. Watson will work closely with Senior Associate Dean Linda Glessner to support administration of the center.
Watson is a graduate of Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, where he later served for several years as director of a $70 million comprehensive campaign at that institution. Besides his professional service in higher education administration, Watson has worked in financial advising and has been involved with the Arkansas Habitat for Humanity. Watson’s specific experience with annual giving campaigns, capital campaigns, strategic planning, and staff development promises to greatly benefit the goals of CIE.
“I look forward to working together with Patrick to maximize all of the great service and education potential found at the Thompson Conference Center,” states Linda Glessner. “I think we will make a great team and together we will find new ways for the Thompson Conference Center to serve our community and our campus.”
