Professor Richard A. Cherwitz is the recipient of the Texas Blazers Faculty Excellence award. This award is given out to a handful of University professors at a semesterly breakfast, and is given to those educators who portray excellence in the realm of teaching. The Texas Blazers act as the official hosts of the University of Texas at Austin, and are dedicated to service, academics, and spirit. This selective organization is primarily geared towards service, and has an ambitious mentoring/tutoring program at Johnston High School. Texas Blazers also place a heavy emphasis on academic success, and as a result of this aim, the Texas Blazers Faculty Appreciation award has gained prestige in the UT community. |
