Ann Permann, Career Services Coordinator
Ann Permann, Career Services Coordinator for Fine Arts Career Services, earned her BA in Music (clarinet, music history) and MA in Higher Education Administration from UT Austin. During her days as an undergraduate of the college, she was an active member and president of Fine Arts Council, served on the dean's search committee and worked as a career peer advisor at Fine Arts Career Services with Pamela Price. In August 2000, Ann joined the staff of the First-Year Interest Group (FIG) Program, working closely with members of the university community including faculty, staff, and students, to develop and implement many aspects of the FIG program. Since 2004, Ann has been an academic advisor in the College of Engineering, serving as liaison to the Engineering Career Assistance Center. Ann is a member of the Academic Counselors Association and National Academic Counselors Association. She has presented nationally at the annual conferences of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), First-Year Experience, and American College Personnel Association.
