Critiques
Our career advisors are happy to help you evaluate and improve
your resume, cv, cover letter, and other application materials.
Mock Interviews
Strengthen your interviewing skills with the help of a videotaped
mock interview. Interviews are scheduled and conducted in the same
manner as a professional interview. After your interview, your advisor
will review the tape with you and provide feedback on your performance.
Whether you are preparing for an interview for your dream job, or
just want to improve your interviewing skills, this service will
help you make a great first impression.
Workshops and Programs
We offer a wide range of events designed with the unique concerns
of fine arts majors in mind. Arts professionals facilitate many
of our programs. Recent topics include career essentials for visual
artists, writing resumes and cvs for musicians, museum careers,

Career Library
The Career Library located in our office (DFA 1.103) contains an
ever -expanding collection of books and materials about art and
non-art career paths. From resume books for performing artists,
to professional association journals listing the latest jobs across
the country, we have resources for every major in the College of
Fine Arts. We subscribe to ArtSearch, The New England Conservatory
Job Bulletin, ArtJob, Art Deadline, Current Jobs in Art, and Current
Jobs in Perfroming Arts. In addition, you'll find listings of summer
programs, fellowships. festivals, and calls-for-entry.
Career Guides
Written specifically for fine arts majors, our career guides outline
career and job possibilities, transferrable skills, and online
resources. They are available online as well as in our office.
Online Resources
Our favorite career websites make up our list of general
job search links, as well as lists specific to those in Music,
Theatre,
Dance, Art,
and Art
History.
