Who Can Apply?
Only students already enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Texas at Austin are eligible.
The Museum Studies Portfolio is open to Doctoral and Master students from any college/school at UT Austin, and students may apply to this portfolio program at any point in their graduate work. Although this program is administered through the College of Fine Arts, it is assumed that applicants will come from diverse disciplines and represent a wide range of interests. Portfolio programs are non–degree programs that allow a graduate student to add further experience during completion of their graduate degree.
The supervising committee that determines admission and approves a student's proposed set of courses consists of the program director (Janice Leoshko, Associate Professor, Department of Art and Art History, College of the Fine Arts) and two other faculty members. Committee faculty members for 2008–2010 are Ellen Cunningham–Kruppa (Director of the School of Information's William and Margaret Kilgarlin Center for the Preservation of the Cultural Record) and Pauline Turner Strong (Associate Professor, Department of Anthropology in the College of Liberal Arts.)
Admission Requirements

- Must submit a letter from the Graduate Adviser in the student's home department approving the application.
