Your classification is based on the total number of credits you have earned, including correspondence courses, credit by examination, and coursework transferred to The University. It does not include courses failed.

• Freshman................0 - 29 hours of credit


• Sophomore............30 - 59 hours of credit


• Junior.....................60 - 89 hours of credit


• Senior....................90 or more hours of credit

During registration times, you must register under the appropriate classification. For example, you may not register as a junior unless you have completed at least 60 hours. You may not count coursework in progress toward the 60 hours.
