Ask Libby

May I take correspondence courses in the semester I plan to graduate?

Possibly. If you are currently enrolled in day classes at U.T. (not University Extension), you may concurrently take a correspondence course. Please be advised that the deadline for completing the correspondence course is well before the end of the semester. Check with the Liberal Arts Student Division for the final exam deadline for correspondence courses for each semester. If you are not currently enrolled, you will be applying for graduation in absentia. In this case, correspondence courses must be completed with final grades posted to your record before you may apply for graduation. Please be aware that correspondence courses do not count as "in residence" credit and will not fulfill residency requirements for the degree.
