What is a double major?

A double major is earned when you fulfill all general degree requirements and complete two majors within a particular college. It is possible to fulfill the requirements for a double major within the minimum hours needed in order to graduate; however, most students exceed 120 hours.  If you are considering completing a second major, contact the academic advisor in the department of interest and discuss the major requirements in detail. Once you have completed the requirements for each major, you will receive a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a double major. You will not receive two B.A. degrees.
