Ask Libby

If I apply to graduate in summer session, can I still walk in Dec.?

Yes, a student can apply to walk (participate in a ceremony) during a
semester preceding the actual graduation semester. However, the student
will not be considered a graduate and will not earn a diploma from UT
until the student meets all of the degree requirements. The student
would still need to officially apply to graduate during the semester that
he/she is eligible.
