Ask Libby

Can I take my government class on a pass/fail basis and it still count toward my core classes?

No, if you take a course on pass/fail basis then that course can only
count as an elective towards the total degree hours that you need to
graduate.

Anything taken pass/fail cannot count towards specific degree
requirements such as university core, liberal arts core, major, or minor
requirements. These would have to be taken on a letter grade basis.
