Ask Libby

Does a C- count as credit for a foreign language class? And, if it doesn\'t, can I retake that class?

It depends on the foreign language. Some foreign languages require a "C"
or higher instead of "C-" or higher as a prerequisite to advance to the
next course in a sequence.

Yes, you can repeat a foreign language course if you don't earn the
appropriate grade to advance to the next course in the sequence.
