Brannen Temple is a highly versatile Austin-based percussionist, composer, producer and bandleader with an international reputation. Mr. Temple has performed with a diverse range of artists, including Chaka Khan, Alejandro Escoveda, Sheena Easton, Jody Watley, Eric Burdon and the Animals, and Janet Jackson, and is a regular ensemble member with Austin’s own 3 Jazz Collective.  He counts Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone, Herbie Hancock, and John Coltrane among his many musical influences.  In addition to performing, Mr. Temple has produced 6 CDs with his own bands, Hot Buttered Rhythm and BLAZE, and he is currently performing with his band Temple Industries.  Brannen was a drum specialist in the UT Butler School of Music for more than eight years and more details about his AADS residency will be available in August.
