Dr. Anthony Webster Joins Our Faculty in Fall 2013

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Anthony Webster to our department this Fall. Dr. Webster is a linguist who has conducted long-term and on-going research in both Apachean cultures and the Navajo Nation. His research languages include Navajo, Chiricahua Apache, Mescalero Apache and Lipan Apache. In his book Explorations in Navajo Poetry and Poetics, he investigates the devices found in Navajo written and oral poetic traditions. Dr. Webster received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and comes to us from Southern Illinois University, where he was an Associate Professor. This Fall Dr. Webster is teaching the class Language Is, As and Thru Emotion (ANT 393).
