Cadets Conduct Live Fire Exercise

Mon, March 5, 2007

Given a face mask, paintball weapons, and paintball rounds, 11-person squads of cadets were to move through the wooded area until making contact with a 2-person opposition force (OPFOR). Once in contact with the OPFOR the squad leader must quickly assess the situation and lead his/her squad in eliminating the OPFOR threat. After completing the mission, an MSIV observer led the squad in an after action review to point out strengths and weaknesses in the execution of the mission. Later labs will build upon the fundamentals learned on Thursday in order to train MSI/II cadets in the fundamentals of tactics and to prepare MSIII cadets for Warrior Forge.
