ISESE (pronounced E-SHAY-SHAY) is a Yoruba word that stands for our culture, our ancestors, the totality of our existence. The most integral element of ISESE is the preeminence of culture which must be recognized. We invite you to see the work of McDonald and Sparks, along with the artists in our permanent collection including Christopher Adejumo, Adeniji Adeymei, Michael Ray Charles, Norma Clark, Tonya Engel, Yasmin Hernandez, Minnie Miles, Carla Olonade Nickerson, Deborah Roberts, and Reji Thomas.
