Deborah Paredez Receives Honorable Mention for her book Selenidad: Selena, Latinos, and the Performance of Memory

The John L. Warfield Center for African and African American Studies would like to recognize and congratulate Dr. Deborah Paredez, Associate Professor, Department of Theatre & Dance and Assoicate Director for the Center for Mexican American Studies for receiving honorable mention for her book Selenidad: Selena, Latinos, and the Performance of Memory for the 2010 Latino Studies Book Award (granted to the best book in Latina/o Studies published in 2009) sponsored by the Latin American Studies Association. Deborah's book was one of only three books out of a large number submitted to receive honorable mention. Deborah Paradez will be recognized and honored for her book at the LASA Conference on October 8, 2010
