The Warfield Center screened "W.A.R. Stories: Walter Anthony Rodney," a documentary film by Clairmont Chung. The film profiles the life and career of Walter Rodney, the pioneering Guyanese historian and political activist.

Based on 100 interviews with many of Rodney's family and associates, Chung's important film provides a timely reflection on Rodney's scholarship and activism. The film screening was followed by an animated discussion of the film and its significance with Mr. Chung, David Hinds, Associate Professor of Social Transformation, and Nicole Burrowes, Ph.D. Candidate with CUNY Graduate Center and AADS Predoctoral Fellow. The Warfield Center would like to thank our faculty for sharing their views on the film, as well as the community members, staff, supporting faculty, and students who made up the audience for making this event an enlightening experience.
