Fiona McFarlane's brilliant debut novel, The Night Guest, won Australia's Voss Literary Prize, Miles Franklin Literary Award, shared the Barbara Jefferis Award, and was on numerous "Best Books" lists of 2014. The novel was also shortlisted for several other top Australian prizes as well as the London Guardian and the LA Times First Book prizes. She is teaching creative writing in the UT Department of English this spring.
