CASA Fellows

Due to the recent political events in Egypt, the current CASA I & II programs have been suspended and temporarily relocated to the Qasid Institute in Amman, Jordan for the 2013-14 fall and spring semesters.

CASA evacuated the 2013-14 fellows studying in Cairo due to the current travel warnings issued by the U.S. State Department in late June 2013. After the evacuation, fellows participated in online courses coordinated by the American University in Cairo to complete the 2013 summer semester.

Our goal is to return to The American University in Cairo for the CASA I & II programs for the 2014-15 academic year; however, this will depend on the travel and security warnings issued for this region. CASA will continue to monitor events in Egypt and ensure that all fellows, prospective applicants and CASA partners are kept informed of our plans for the upcoming application year.

Thank you for your continued support and please contact our office with further questions or concerns.

CASA is pleased to announce its 2013-2014 Fellows. A list with a short bio of each fellow is available for download: 2013-2014 CASA Jordan Fellows and 2013-2014 Program Dates in Amman, Jordan

If you have recently been selected as a CASA fellow, you will need to take care of a variety of matters in preparation for your studies in Cairo.
