The Center for Asian American Studies is co-sponsoring the film screening of Remington and the Curse of the Zombadings at the Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival.
About the film:
A curse from a disrespected drag queen turns a young man gay in this irresistible, campy zombie-comedy flick from the Philippines. Remington is a wholesome straight teenager until one day a curse catches up with him and suddenly he's wearing tighter shirts, telling wittier jokes and casting lingering glances at the hot young men in his hometown. Meanwhile, the town's most fabulous gays are turning up dead, covered in mysterious green goo. To save himself, Remington must rid himself of the curse. But before he's able, gay zombies ("zombadings") start returning from the dead to seek their revenge! A winning satire of homophobia in the modern world, REMINGTON is a giddy film with a clever message.
